Two decades of steady hands and generous teaching

Faye Young is a bridal makeup artist and educator, and the founder and CEO of Makeup Academy Manila Inc. Over more than twenty years she has become known for classic, camera-ready bridal looks and for being one of the artists who helped bring formal airbrush training to Filipino makeup artists.

Her own training runs deep. She has studied under Rae Morris of Australia, an editorial and beauty makeup artist of international standing, Jos Brands of Europe in professional makeup education, David Willia of Singapore, Thomas Surprenant of Australia in prosthetics and special effects, Yolanda Baltram of Australia in beauty and creative makeup, and the late Cecille Baun of the Philippines, a legendary Filipino artist in film and television.

That range is why her work moves comfortably from a bride at golden hour to the demands of television, film, and stage. It is also what she brings to the classroom. Through Makeup Academy Manila she has trained many working artists, teaching both the technique and the professionalism the industry expects.
